Time Travels with HoracioHoracio’s record collection began with stealing his dad’s old soul and blues LPs, and mum’s Latin and indigenous folk music from Chile and South America. He picked up bargain bin gems at Disc Discovery, Sydney Scarborough’s and old juke box records in Hepworth Arcade, he sent off for indie records with a letter direct to the label owners with check or postal order.
His first record player was rescued from a skip and resurrected with some diy rewiring. And after kicking off his DJing at The Royal College of Art Art Bar he added a rag tag set of DJ equipment – and some massive speakers. He’s played goth records down in the Crypt at St Martin In The Fields, and uplifting numbers in the altitude of an alpine refuge – the eclectic mix got people smiling, thinking… and moving.
