Reece Bird Presents Discopolis

The show showcases a fine selection of new upfront and Classic House from the golden era of clubbing, ’91-2001. The Discopolis name comes from the house night running in Hull by Reece himself and longtime DJ partner, Danny Hird (Definite Grooves) and has been running for the last five years with a large following.

Reece has DJed all over the UK, Greece, Ibiza and is usually found supporting the evergreen Déjà vu nights in Hull as the resident for over 30 years. A passionate Sasha and Masters at Work follower who brings his own style of uplifting house with a selection of carefully selected tracks from his 15,000-back catalogue of tracks. Reece has dj’ed at some of the largest events in Yorkshire, including Hacienda alongside Kenny Dope, Graeme Park, Inner City, as well as the Café Mambo nights with Todd Terry, Sandy Rivera, Grant Nelson. Reece is also resident at the monthly Reunion nights and Elegance nights along with guest appearances in Leeds, Sheffield and further afield.

​Reece was clubbing from an early age and was a regular at Renaissance, Hacienda, Hard Times, Back to Basics, Up Yer Ronson and Cream. An Ibiza regular since ’93 who visits the island twice a year to find music inspiration….with a spot of clubbing at Pikes, UNVRS, Glitterbox and Chinois.
