Initial Observations with Joseph CoxEach episode is an hour of music exploring a concept or idea. A journey of music and soundscapes on a theme, be that a walk through a snowy village, a science experiment gone wrong or a trip through a far galaxy. There are no rules in terms of genre but do expect to hear a lot of synths, ambient sounds, folk and jazz. But the core philosophy is simple: if it serves the story, it gets played so you may also hear spoken word, pop music, doom, film clips, field recordings or whatever fits.
Outside of his Venn Radio show Joseph Cox is a designer and musician making electronica under the name Azyss and creating art and illustration inspired by the local area, music, engineering and folklore - themes that are also likely to appear in his show.
